Artist Antoine Gregor’s series SUR-FAKE is an illustrated guide of what not to do while traveling. He takes images of people of all ages and digitally alters them, showing their faces as they are literally sucked into the various phones and gadgets that they have already mentally disappeared into. Countless articles have already been written about the disappointment of traveling to a lifelong dream destination, only to find it filled with selfie pole wielding swarms. This is the first time I have seen the phenomena satirized so well visually. Whatever happens, make it a lifelong goal to never be this kind of traveler!
